President’s      Message

The Regional Black Chamber of Commerce* (RBCC) is a strong association of successful business owners, professionals, and entrepreneurs. As President and Ceo, I want to extend a sincere and warm “thank you” to each and every one of you for being a part of and supporting this very prestigious organization. as President/Ceo, my plans are to continue to provide regional strategic assistance of empowerment to small, minority, and women-owned businesses in gaining social equality and economic empowerment through, education, capital resource access, networking, and marketing collaboration.  While the chamber was born 2000, out of the need for stronger representation in economic development, government awareness, educational and community service involvements in this region, for small, - minority, - and women owned businesses. As president, my desire to carry out these massive and much needed programs will be a prodigious task and it will require sincere and concentrated efforts on everyone’s part.

The chamber received a very special recognition as (Chamber of the year..2004), and numerous others from city, state & federal agencies henceforth, its growth from inception to now boast some 300 varied business members and stakeholders and hundreds of supporters servicing the entire San Fernando valley and its neighboring cities of Burbank, North Hollywood, LA metro west*(Marina del Rey) and San Clarita/Valencia. The Regional Black Chamber of Commerce is strategically located in the San Fernando "valley' but is effective... "Statewide".

I will maintain an abundance of time focusing on the needs of the small, minority & & women-owned business in the chamber. As President/Ceo, I have found that the best and most valuable investment our business members can have to grow their business is 1) to expand its client database and connect with potential purchasers of their products and services, and 2) build a strong collaboration between corporate America, government, and other viable small  businesses for sustainable and continuous growth. Moreover, I  feel educating the small business person/entrepreneur is a definite necessity not a wish!

The chamber roster of services, in part shown will focus on the following.....

  • new members recognition reception
  • quarterly business after hours mixers
  • corporate business forums*(member advantage provides for a discount of services
  • Professional empowerment business workshop series… includes topics from. Start up business. capital, certification, education, public policy, & more
  • referrals...city, state or federal contacts
  • chamber bookstore
  • community calendar
  • lobbying trips / special events allows business members to travel to state capitol Sacramento and Washington dc to meet and greet all elected officials, both at the state and national level

memories of today and yesterdays are the blocks with which we build our tomorrows… a reflection of ourselves at a time and place we always want to be remembered… today,  right now  help us stay the course…this is how we wish to be remembered!
